Million Dollar Baby

Million Dollar Baby is a 2004 American sports drama film. It's about an unappreciated boxing trainer, the mistakes haunting him from his past and his quest to help an underdog amateur boxer achieve her dream of becoming a professional.
In this clip you will see Clint Eastwood as 'Frankie' a gruff but well-meaning elderly boxing trainer, Morgan Freeman as 'Eddie' an elderly former boxer who is now a gym assistant and Hilary Swank as 'Maggie' a determined aspiring boxer.
The clip starts off with the sound of a speed bag being hit and the panting of exhaustion, a man emerging from the shadows of the empty gym, then goes to Maggie attempting to train herself. However, her concentration is interrupted as Frankie is picking out her mistakes ultimately trying to intimidated her and make her give up.
I find this clip inspiring because, Maggie has nothing interesting or eventful in her life. She's got barely enough money to survive, hasn't come from the best of backgrounds and her family doesn't support her in anything she does let alone her dream. When she trains she escapes her meaningless reality as 'it's the only thing she's felt good doing', if she can't do this then 'She's got nothing'. From having nothing, to finally getting a trainer, her dream is slowly starting to become real. She pushes herself to succeed and is confident she can make it as a professional boxer. Concentrating, listening to her trainer, knowing it will be hard work and effort but never giving up.
This clip signifies the moment her life changed.
